For Santa, that Merry Christmas always starts with a nighttime job. Mommy & Daddy carefully wrapped and setup the gifts we had. With such a touch season upon us, we feel very blessed. It was like the little things that we bought (games, books, etc) turned into SO
much! It was like the feeding of the 5,000 in the Bible… Jesus took one loaf of bread and one fish and was able to feed a crowd of 5,000. As the baskets were passed, there just ended up being enough for everyone! And that is how we felt this Christmas!! We found a bike for Keith for under $30, gifts that others gave us FOR the kids, and a bunch of toys from the consignment store that were super cheap, but on the kids’ lists!
Like years past, we opened the fire place door (one side) to look at someone had come in. And Santa had no problem finishing off the cookies and milk that were left for him…SHOCKER! ![]()
Once awake, the kids got to work. Chloe was very excited about tearing into gifts. This was the first year for that. Keith was reserved. He opened one or two gifts, and then curled up on the couch with me and watched Chloe. Makes my heart warm to know that it doesn’t take much to satisfy our beloved kids.
They are excited with what they get, and never long for more. And with the books, why wait? Why not just pop-a-squat and start reading right now… we have time!!
Here’s Chloe sporting her new crown!!
And OOOHhhh… why did Santa put so much tape on this one?!?!
Chloe got a cool Fancy Nancy doll from a certain family who had recently gone down to Disneyland and found it for her! VERY COOL!
And then there is always the aftermath…and a little time for Hungry Hungry Hippos and the super cool Spiderman Car!!
Once the day had settled in, we packed up the car and went to the Van Liew’s house for our annual Christmas Dinner with Phil’s family.
Here is Phil’s Dad, “Dr. Dave”, “Papa”, “Dad”…
After dinner, Keith helped pass out the gifts under the tree. See how focused he is?
And oh boy… more books to dig into!!!
And some new Spiderman underpants!!! Whoopeee!!!
