Our friend, James, turned 41 this December. And it was by his choice that we got together – 2 families – for the evening!
We hit one of our favorite local restaurants, Hill’s. It’s always a sure thing for a good dinner, and we love the atmosphere there.
Normally, on such an occasion, we leave the kids with a sitter. But we decided to make it a family affair this time, and took the kids with us! They were so good!
They have super yummy hamburgers there. Keith was the rebel with fettuccini alfredo. The adults enjoyed some good wine, grilled specials and good conversation.
Phil didn’t drink any wine (as he is not fond of it), but in this picture, he looks like he polished off the bottle!!
and then… THERE WAS DESSERT! Enough said… moving on…
After dinner, we piled (literally piled) into one car (all 7 of us with 3 car seats) and headed out in search of Christmas lights!
The kids spotted this vegetable snowball made of cabbage, tomatoes, carrots and peppers!
By special request, there was a stop at the local Baskin Robins for the kids. So they sucked down the ice-cream while we continued on our light search.
