This year was very special as we had the largest gathering for Thanksgiving that we have ever had at my parents’ home. My brother & sister each have a “significant other” which makes it special to begin with. Then, these “others” brought their families. So we had a great time!
We had so many people that we took the furniture out of the family room to make a double wide table to sit around. We would not have all fit in the formal dining room. But this worked PERFECT. We had the fire place, music, and a table that allowed us all to be social, unlike a long, narrow table.
Attendees included:
- my parents (Phil & Paula)
- my family (Phil, myself, Keith & Chloe)
- my sister & her boyfriend (Jennie & Mike)
- my brother & his girlfriend (Dan & Claire)
- Mike’s mom (Kathy)
- Claire’s mom & her best friend (Christy & KayLinda)
- Clair'e’s sister, brother-in-law & son (Buffy, Nathan & Oliver)
Here are my brother, Claire’s mom and brother-in-law admiring my dad’s PEZ collection. Below is Oliver enjoying his milk!
And here we have Mike, looking rather intense!!
My mom had set up a separate little table for the 3 kids – it was pretty cute! She even sewed a little Thanksgiving tablecloth for it!
Chloe looking a bit suspicious…
And Uncle Dan WHOOPING it up, as usual!!
The table was set with tons of beautiful food that everyone contributed. My parents prepared the 21 pound turkey that was traditionally placed on the table for carving to serve.
We all had a fabulous time!
Lots of good wine, good food and great company!
The dogs patiently waiting for droppings…
The kids played, wrestled and rolled on the floor!…
And there was a lot of smiling, chatting and hugging going on!
Don’t you just love my hubby’s dimples?!

Thanks for recording all of this, Tamara! It's so much fun to look back on it all. We really had a wonderful time with everyone!
