Father's Day

Father's Day started out with church and a fun breakfast with other Father-friends! We had Dutch Babies for breakfast (with bacon of course, at the request of all the "fathers").

The kids pulled out the window markers & crayons and put some Father's Day artwork on the windows.

We gathered, celebrated, and then went our ways with our own families.

After naps and catching up, we took the kids bowling! Phil is a bowler, and we have a cute little family bowling alley down in Richmond Beach called Spin Alley. They offered free bowling for Dads, and they have the bumpers and all apparel needed for the kids. Perfect!

They have these cool little ramps that you push up to the lane. That way the kids can load up their balls and let 'em roll! Of course this didn't stop Keith from dropping his bowling ball from 3 feet up... in our lane, into the next lane, down the next lane into a closed pin bin.... ya... bowling with a 2 year old. He just grabbed a ball, did his thing (no boundaries) and walked around like he owned the place - uninhibited!

Chloe, on the other hand, was very careful and deliberate. Ironically, she didn't score as high as Keith, but I think she enjoyed it more, and for a longer period of time. After several frames using the ramp, she really wanted to do it like Daddy, and huck it down the lane. Good thing for those bumpers!

Phil and I agreed that Keith needs to be a bit older before coming back again, and this would be a perfect Daddy date with Chloe - taking her bowling, just the two of them. They would have a blast!

We made a quick exit, grabbed some food, and hit the park. The rain clouds hovered luminously, but they held off as we enjoyed decent temperatures and a nice quiet evening at the park with the kids.

OHHH... and we met this cool dog, "Ollie". He is an English Sheep Dog. Super cute and so wonderfully cuddly! He was HUGE, but so totally lovable... want one!
