The Country

Saturday was a family day, and we spent it with the Walzs. We caravanned out to Fall City to hit Small Fries, a little hometown burger joint on the side of the road. It has been there for years... I recall going there with church friends after college group about 15 years ago! My guess is that it has been around a LOOOOONG time.

Little did we know that Saturday was the Strawberry Festival out in Fall City, so we hit a bit of traffic, road closures and detours. So be it. Aside from the wait for our food, we did just fine. And it gave the kids a chance to look for ladybugs.... FOUND ONE!!!

After lunch, we made the climb up to Snoqualmie Falls. It was amazing - as always. So peaceful. If it weren't for all the people gathered and snapping photos, I could sit and watch it all day.

The kids thought it to be quite awesome as well - enough so to do a little jig...

Back down the hill from the falls, we went to Carnation and hit Remlinger Farms. It is their strawberry picking season, and we knew that berries were a necessity. Although we chose not to pick our own berries, we stocked up on rhubarb, boysenberries & other Remlinger treats.

And finally, we headed back towards the city by way of Preston, where we stopped at a new playground with lots of cool stuff!
Even the adults got in on some of the action!! And after spending most of the day in the car, Rosie got to run around, chase the ball and get chased by all the other kids in the park! That's what happens when you are adorable! Rough life...

Here is a little video of Keith running on the spinny wheel... quite cute!!

And does this surprise anyone after a day like today?? NO WAY! But what I did think was worthy of a picture was the way Chloe's legs are crossed while she sleeps. What a little lady!!
