If you are local to Seattle, you know that our weather has been unseasonably warm for winter. It has felt like Spring since the New Year. As a matter of fact, our azaleas in our front yard, have already bloomed and dropped their blossoms – DONE! And Spring doesn’t start until this weekend! CRAZY!
Anyway, with the weather as it has been, the kids BEG to go out and ride their bikes every day. And last weekend, Phil and I decided to take them down the trail near our old house. It is a nice residential trail and part
of the old Interurban.
We had my folks’ dog, “Max”, so the 2 doggies went with us. The kids probably rode about 1 mile each way. Pretty darn good for a couple of young ones!
We stopped half way through our adventure at the Starbucks. The kids each got a milk (of various flavors), and then we went back. It was a good pit stop for them! On the way, we passed a home that the fire department had set fire to as a way to drill their fighters. The kids thought it was pretty cool to see the remains of the house smoldering while the diggers pulled out the cement, etc.
It was just a pleasant evening all around. And we all got in some exercise!
And just a side note… isn’t my husband just adorable?!?! love him!
