My Little Angelina Ballerina

Angelina Ballerina is one of Chloe's favorite shows on PBS. It is a story of "Angelina", a white mouse, who lives in Mouseland, and LOVES ballet. We watch the show, check out Angelina Ballerina books from the library, and now.... go to an Angelina Ballerina Ballet Camp. How perfect is that?! I found it on a fluke while looking through some potential classes for her at a studio we have never been to before.

The girls could wear anything they wanted to class as long as it didn't get in their way for dancing. Chloe, everyday, chose ALL pink... SHOCKER... pink leotard, pink tights, pink tutu and pink hairband.

Here is the class stretching in a circle. The teacher was awesome working with these girls!

As parents, we weren't allowed to watch the class until the 5th day of camp (the final day). So on the first day, I had to take pictures incognito... through the curtains!

Here are Chloe & Kate having conversation... and then all the girls getting their stamps on their hands at the end of class.
On that final day, the last 1/2 hour, we got to see a mini-recital of the things they had been working on that week. They all wore the crown, the necklace and carried the wands they had made throughout the week.

Here is "Teacher Emma"... the girls adored her!

And being the sweet little brother that he truly is, Keith was VERY excited to go "watch his sister dance"! He actually had to be woken up from his nap to go = not a good thing. He was grumpy, fussy... and then I asked, "do you want to go see Chloe dance?". He immediately perked up, and said, "YES!" He graciously sat through the entire 1/2 hour, quietly watching, waving at her, and applauding for her. SO SWEET!!

Here is mommy wearing all her granted gifts... crown, necklace & wand!

I just LOVE this picture of Kate. It really captures her sweet, social personality!

Here are the girls, post-class, showing off their goods!

Finally, here is some footage of some of the things they did in their mini-recital. This was Chloe's first ballet experience. You can tell how much she LOVED it! I think we have a true ballerina on our hands!!
