Five Guys & Fountains

Our friends, the Walzs, spent 5 years in Virginia between their living stints in Seattle. When they moved BACK to Seattle, they said that one of the few things they would miss about Virginia (outside of family) was Five Guys Burgers & Fries. It was their favorite burger joint back East. Well, how lucky can we be.... they opened up a location in Renton recently! We're there!!!

They were determined to get us there to try it out, so on Friday night, we weathered the rush hour traffic and headed south for dinner. The place was HOPPIN'! Clearly, the Walzs aren't the only ones that know what this place is about!

We were lucky to find a table that would fit all of us - 7 total. There was standing room only inside the place - literally! But it was worth it. SOOOO good! It was the moistest burger I've ever eaten. And they really invite you to customize it (the fixin's, including grilled onions & mushrooms - my favorite!)

While waiting for everyone to finish and be done, I took Keith outside to get some air and let him burn off some energy. There were some fountains that we waited by, and watched another little boy playing in. Keith decided to join him!... And then Chloe came out, and decided to join Keith!... And then Kate came out and decided to join all of them! It turned into quite the fun time watching the kids bounce around in the water, getting TOTALLY soaked and loving every minute of it.

The kids got SOOO wet that Denise and I walked over to Target and purchased some clothes for he kids to wear home in the car. Keith's diaper weighed about 20 lbs filled with water, so we got him some diapers as well. Here are the get ups they went home in... oh ya baby!
