It was our annual trip to Snowflake Lane in Bellevue for the “drummers!” Our kids L-O-V-E this and talk about it as the holiday season approaches every year.
“Can we go to Bellevue
where the drummers live?”
This year Mommy was no dummy! She packed the things we needed for a rainy evening, put them in Keith’s Spiderman backpack, and let him haul them around. I know well enough how much he loves to wear that backpack, so it was a perfect set up for a my little Sherpa! I didn’t have to carry a thing – except my camera!
As the drummers all come out and line up at their posts, the kids are just mesmerized!
And then they make it snow!
This is when the kids go wild! It’s like the snowflakes are making their own rock concert that the kids just lose it – tears of joy…
Every year we go with someone new to share the experience. This year, it was Team Walz. They had never been before, and we pretty sure that Kate had a great time…. you think??
The kids would just dance and dance and dance to the music… a jig here, a jig there…
We actually got a family shot which is AMAZING. Usually, with me behind the camera, a full set is tough to get. Of course if you get Keith to look at the camera, Chloe HAS to look away. They are like polarized magnets…
Lastly, another goofy shot of the kids on the drummer post after the drummers lined up and drummed off…
…and seriously, I think Chloe gets her good looks from her Dad! It just couldn’t be me, could it?!!
