While eating dinner tonight, Phil let the kids open their Advent door. Usually we do it before bedtime, but there was an opportunity to open The Word, and decided to do it!
Tonight’s door held little salt packets. We opened them and let the kids taste the salt. We talked about salt, what we use it for, etc. And then we read Jesus’ passage about being the “salt of the earth”.
The kids are usually pretty good about sitting, listening and processing. Tonight was a bit of a challenge, and I think it had to do with the time we did it – not the usual time. Oh well. I got some cute pictures to show our evening ritual this month.
