Cousins – Chase & Bella

As I have mentioned in past entries, my cousin “Kristen” is moving up from LA to Seattle with her kiddos and her mom (my aunt Sheila).  In preparation for this big move for them, she brought them up last weekend to see the city and meet our family.  Her kids are very close in age to my kids.  Can you say DOUBLE TROUBLE?!

 

“Bella” is about 8 months younger than Chloe.  And “Chase” is a year older than Chloe.  On Friday, Keith and I met them at the Sheraton downtown and took them, via Metro, to the Aquarium.  Chloe was in school, so she was unable to join us.  And with all the rain and chaos of the city, it was just as well.  :(

    The buses were all out of whack and off schedule.  That made for a LONG time getting from 6th & Union to the waterfront – like over an hour!  CRAZY!  But even waiting under cover didn’t prevent us from getting SOAKED!  The kids had a ball with the umbrellas.  I brought all we had from home to share with the kids.  Bella & Keith shared his, and Chase used Chloe’s frog umbrella.

They really kept a great attitude, despite the rain.  And they had a great time!  We made it to the aquarium, and proceeded to hit Metro back to the hotel.  It was an adventure – nonetheless.  And the “cousins” had a great time getting to know one another. 

 

   

 

 

 

We are looking forward to having more family up in Seattle with us – PERMANENTLY – towards the end of December!
