You know, just because someone lives close by doesn't mean that you see them all the time. As is the case with my brother, Dan! He spent 4 years in San Diego at UCSD, traveled Europe for 6 months, and then disappeared for another 2 years in Guatemala. You would think that with him living in Wallingford (15 minutes from my house) and going to the UW that we would see each other more often now... NOT! We chalk it up to his masters program and my family. It is just too damn busy!!So, we made a planned effort to have him over on Monday night. We had to get it on the calendar in advance and make it happen. Ta dum!!
For dinner, homemade pizza - made by my beloved who can throw a pizza like no other! We did a few different pies - one traditional for the kids (pepperoni & cheese). Then we did one with an olive oil base, sauteed peppers & pancetta. YUMMY!!
And the kids just LOVE their "Uncle Dan"! They get all giddy when he comes over.
And what evening would be complete without a little drum concerto?!?!
