It is not uncommon for our Chloe to stay up until 10pm in her room, even on those nights when we get her to bed at 7:30 or 8:00pm. But normally, she is in and out, or quietly playing in her room.
The other night, as we were lounging in our room next door, we could hear her talking, like she was conversing. Phil decided to get up and see what was going on.![]()
Peaking through the crack in her ajar door, we could only see a carefully organized group of stuffies sitting on her bed. We couldn’t see Chloe until we pushed the door open a bit more. We had recently mounted a map of the United States on her wall as she has become curious as to “where Papa Rick lives”, and “where Disneyland is located”, and “where Auntie Miranda lives”, and “where Edmonds is”….
Opening the door allowed us to see her using her American flag stick (no flag attached) as a pointer on her map. She was teaching her stuffies a lesson in geography.
Absolutely precious…truly. Moments like this make me want to squeeze her and not let go! She was startled to know we were watching. We quickly recovered that embarrassment by asking to take a picture of Teacher Chloe with her students. She gladly complied.
