IMAX & Science Center

IMG_6001It was a brisk fall afternoon on a Saturday, and we had time… as a family… time together!  So we made the best of it and went downtown to the IMAX theatre.  The kids have not been to the IMAX yet, and we decided to give it a go.

It wasn’t until after we mentioned the movie idea to the kids that we realized how expensive it is.  That was a little disappointing.  For a 40 minute movie, it was $40 for the four of us!  GEESH!  Don’t worry, it has been logged in mommy’s brain for the next time…IMG_5992

We decided to see the Elephant movie, since we are a family that enjoys elephants – especially Chloe.  The magic of IMAX is that you feel like you are right there with the animals!  I had my IMG_5988\

camera in my purse and decided to see if I could catch any decent shots just to show you how cool this was!  They are blurry, but oh well.  You get the idea… it was like you could reach out and touch them!IMG_5998

After the movie was done, we found we were able to enter the science center without any additional fees, so we took advantage!

It was a cold day, and it was tough to stay out in the water for very long.  But we did let the kids play with the water guns and toys. IMG_6010 IMG_6011

Once inside, the kids just played ran around and played with various things.  Keith took to anything that was robot oriented.  And Chloe was attracted to anything that was computer driven.  SHOCKER!

Mommy’s favorite part was seeing Keith climb up to the HUGE table & chairs they had.   It was like a scene from “Jack and the Beanstalk”!
