My dad came for a visit from Pittsburgh. I only get to see him but once a year, so this was a very important week for me. He was here for an entire week which is longer than normal, and I loved every minute of it.We spent a lot of time with the kids, and being that we had wonderful weather during his visit, we were able to take full advantage of it. We went to the beach, the park, played outside in the yard and worked on some projects, attempted to teach Keith how to hit a t-ball, and even spent a day downtown at the market and waterfront - whew!! Sounds like we did TONS of stuff, but really, it was very relaxing for him - and much deserved.
While at home, he played with the kids so they could get to know their "Papa Rick". One evening, he and Keith spent about 45 minutes in Keith's room just reading books on the floor. Of course, my taking a picture sort of brought that to an end as I became a distraction... but it was while it lasted!!
One of the days we met up with my mom, who had Chloe, at Chateau Ste. Michelle winery. We did some wine tasting in their Members Tasting room (the Ste Michelle library). That was wonderful. It was just the 4 of our sitting at this big table sharing in 6 tastes of wine (3 Chardonnays, and 3 Cabernet's). We were able to taste, discuss and share what we liked & didn't like. Chloe was served grape juice along side us, and that worked just fine for her... she had 2 full glasses!!
